DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE SEAL WOOD ART
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE SEAL WOOD ART
The Official Seal of the United States Department of Justice. The origins of the Seal are unknown; it was first used in the 19th century as the seal for the Office of the Attorney General (prior to the formation of the Department of Justice) but the exact date is unknown.
Measuring over 14" in diameter, our DOJ Seal Wood Art plaque is 100% Handcrafted from TEN (10) different fine hardwoods.
We made a rare exception and used a touch of paint on this plaque, strictly to enhance its appearance. The Olive Branch is painted green, which provides nice contrast against the other woods.
All of the other colors in this plaque are the Natural Colors of different woods.
We've never used 10 different woods in a single plaque before, but wanted to ensure this plaque is as special as those who work there.
We carefully craft the tiny Eagle Beak and Talons; and we use 5 woods to create the Eagles Feathered Wings, our Signature method of carving highly detailed Eagle Wings.
The most amazing aspect of this DOJ Wood Art Plaque is the Shield; we Inlaid the Shield with a 3-D effect. It's truly impressive.
Military Wood Art, LLC has been selected by the Department of Justice to produce handcrafted Wood Art plaques for various Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.
It is an honor and privilege to produce Wood Art for the Outstanding Members of the DOJ.
