DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY SEAL DHS WOOD ART

The Official Seal of the United States Department of Homeland Security. The Department of Homeland Security Seal is used to represent the organization and authenticate certain official documents. The seal was developed with input from senior DHS leadership, employees, and the U.S. Commission on Fine Arts.

Measuring over 14" in diameter, our DHS Seal Wood Art plaque is 100% Handcrafted from EIGHT (8) different fine hardwoods.

We made a rare exception and used a touch of paint on this plaque, strictly to enhance its appearance. The appropriate parts of the Shield are painted green & blue, which provides nice contrast against the other woods.

All of the other colors in this plaque are the Natural Colors of the 8 different woods.

We carefully crafted the tiny Eagle Beak and Talons; we used 3 different woods to create the Eagles Feathered Wings, our Signature method of carving highly detailed Eagle Wings. The entire Eagle has 7 different woods.
